Abstract

Over head water tanks are backbone of water supply system. R.C.C. design is most common in the field of construction of overhead tanks. Although, over the period of time, R.C.C. Structure starts deterioration due to internal and external causes and thus requirement of safe structure arise. Earlier, demolition of existing R.C.C. overhead water tanks takes place, followed by construction of new structure, which is very expensive and time consuming. Strengthening of R.C.C. overhead tank is much better option to enhance the stability and increase the life period of structure.

In this paper, conducting research on  “Strengthening of existing r.c.c. overhead  water tanks with y type steel bracings”
